Well, as "they" say, that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.  ;D

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

TGIF!

After last week's busy weekend, I'm looking forward to a quiet one at home.

Did my best to stimulate the economy, I was busy on Amazon.  I ordered new clippers for my beard line and what remains of my hair (), some new socks, a 2024 calendar for the wall, a new wireless mouse for my desktop, and some canvas hangers for my wall of Madonna albums.

I have them up now, with only one hanger in the center of each album.  However, this is causing the center to curve up, and I don't like the way it looks.   I've ordered a second hanger for each album, so I can place one on each corner of each album so they hang straight.

I got bored yesterday, and decided to put up my Valentine's Day decorations and lights, so now I have red, pink and white lights up and lit.

We have some snow flurries going on in my area, not really sticking too much, but it's nice to watch it fall.

Minneapolis has had 7" of snow so far this winter. Last year we got 90" throughout the whole winter. From the past six years looks like the average is somewhere around 60-70". Either we're going to be way behind or I dread the next couple of months!

Personally I'm not missing snow but it's eerie. In the park outside my window you can see grass coming through much of the snow. Also, it was 52 degrees on Christmas. Very weird. It's cold now, ranging from about -5 to +10, which is pretty normal for mid-January. But next week it's going to be in the mid- to upper-30s -- not normal.

I'm glad the snow and cold are mild this year. Now all we need is longer daylight hours. I wish we could break a record that way!

It's coming, slowly but surely. By the end of the month we will have gained roughly a half an hour of daylight over the beginning of the month.
