we have an update on that today.
The originally thought she had a pulmonary embolism, so she was given blood thinners. Later x-rays and ultrasound confirmed she did not have an embolism.
To properly determine if she has Lupus, she needs a kidney biopsy, but they couldn't give her one until the effects of the thinners wear off. They have scheduled one for Monday.

I hope they soon find out what's wrong and can treat it.

I spoke with the doctors today.
They say that mom tested positive for ANCA anti-bodies, which is an auto-immune disease.
Her lungs appear to be doing ok, but she's still on the breathing tube, so they are keeping her sedated. One point today the sedation was reduced, and she would yawn, bite the tube, and move her hands and feet.
Her kidneys are not functioning as they should, so she is getting dialysis.
They are treating the ANCA with chemotherapy.
All we can do now is wait.
