Front-Ranger:
Well, it looks like you made the most of your three-day weekend! I'm glad to see your Mom is getting out and about. I haven't started enjoying fall treats yet. My fridge is full of salad fixings and I have to use them up. I'm going out to a Korean restaurant tomorrow so hopefully I'll have something that will get me in the mood for fall.

Even though it's been unseasonably warm lately, the leaves are starting to turn. So, it must be getting cool at night. I'm looking forward to trick or treating this year with my son and his family. His daughter is two and really enjoys it. I am looking for a blue onesie so I can be Grover from Sesame Street.

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

I hope everyone is doing well!

:)

Not much has been going on at this end, so I haven't posted.

I did get my Halloween stuff down the weekend after Halloween, and the Thanksgiving stuff is up.

I've been watching the Grand Prix of Figure Skating, it's nice to be able to enjoy my sport again.   ;D

I had last week off of work, for a "stay-cation".  I used it to take care of some chores and get the car serviced.  I also needed to go shoe shopping and get a new pair of dress shoes, and two new pairs of sneakers.

I needed new shoes because I'm invited to a formal wedding on Sunday, the son of a friend that I've known since the 90s is getting married, and it's a formal wedding.

The following week, I will be isolating as a precaution.  I always hear stories about a wedding or major party taking place, and then suddenly calls are being made about someone tested positive for Covid after the wedding and now it's getting passed around again.  If I should get exposed by chance at the wedding, I don't want to bring it to anyone at work or my family the week before Thanksgiving, so I figure if I isolate for a week, just in case, everyone should be fine.  LOL.

Very prudent of you. How many would know or be able to do this? Just a hypothetical question.

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Thanksgiving week has arrived!

;D

The wedding was a lot of fun, I got to reconnect with some friends, and the ceremony and reception were lovely.

The bride is a pastry chef, and she baked her own wedding cake!  It was delish!

The week spent in the apartment seemed to go by quickly enough.  However, it wasn't needed.  I never felt sick and got no phone  calls from anyone talking about possible exposure, so I'm guessing everything was fine!

I picked up some ingredients for a cornbread casserole, and I'll make it Thursday morning for the family meal.   I'll spend Friday working from the apartment.  It should be a very slow day and I plan to be taking down my Thanksgiving stuff, and putting up my Christmas stuff.

Wow, switching out the Thanksgiving d?cor for the Christmas d?cor one day after Thanksgiving! That's strict!  :)

Is your cornbread casserole basically cornbread dressing/stuffing or is it something different? I love cornbread concoctions and am thinking of making cornbread/elote/pico de gallo/maybe bacon concoction for a quick breakfast or other snack when my son is visiting.
