CellarDweller:
This was the moment that everyone was talking about from the World Championships.

Alysa Liu skated for the US, winning the US National Championships in 2019 and 2020.  She did not go to Worlds, as she was too young, under the 16 year age requirement.

In 2022 she went to Worlds, and won the bronze medal, and then promptly left the sport, saying it was a 'job" now, and no longer fun.

After almost three years away from the sport, she decided to return, and started to earn small victories again. While she was away,  Japanese skater Kaori Sakamoto became a force in the sport, winning three consecutive World Championships, this was to be her fourth.

And Alysa Liu stepped on the ice, and gave this performance.

Wow, that was amazing! Such a natural, she seemed like she was born on skates! Thank you for sharing this, friend. You must have been so elated!

CellarDweller:
I wish I could even explain what the feeling was like to be in the arena, the energy was off the charts!
