Front-Ranger:
Hi, friend! Thanks for the update! My Labor Day was quiet. I went out to buy a punch card for the rec center--I'm getting back to climbing on the climbing wall. Then I trtied to mow the grass since my regular mower guy has graduated and gone off to college. But the mower wouldn't start. I had lent my mower to the renter. Will I ever learn not to lend stuff to renters? It was probably left out in the rain.
So off I went to what Offline Chuck calls Home Despot to get a new switch for it. I found the mower parts aisle but needed help finding the switches. There was a sign with a QR code if you needed help, you could call on your phone. After a lengthy wait, a guy came and looked at the picture I had taken of the switch. He searched on Google to see if they had it at the store but no luck. He showed me on his phone where I could order it on Amazon. So the second lesson I learned was not to bother going to a store anymore!

I think you should reconsider, depending on what you're looking for. Recently I got good and friendly help at Homo Depot when I needed some new fluorescent tubes.
Then just last week I went to a Boot Barn to look for a pouch to carry my cell phone on my belt. There are many, many, many listings for such pouches online, and at lower cost than what I paid in the store, but I wanted to make sure I bought one large enough to hold my phone. At the store I was able to try different pouches to make sure my phone fit, and I was able to find one that suited my needs. With my luck I would have bought one online that didn't fit my phone, and then I would have had the nuisance of dealing with a return.

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!
How is everyone doing??
I decided that this weekend would be a productive one. So, I spent the day cleaning and mopping the kitchen, cleaning and mopping the bathroom, and doing things that needed to be done. I still had my old TV, computer monitor, and keyboard, so I took those down to the local electronic recycling center. I also took care of some of my artwork. Some of the animation cels, and one of Brokeback sketches that I own were crooked or fallen down, the 3M strips were so old that the adhesive would no longer stick to the walls. So I got new strips, and rehung them this morning.
I've already seen some people in my area decorating for Halloween. ::) I want to shout out to them, "IT'S STILL SUMMER FOR 2 MORE WEEKS!". I refuse to decorate for Halloween until October 1st comes. I did, however, receive something I ordered for Halloween already, but won't put it out.
I saw online a box called "31 Nights of Fright", it's like one of the Christmas advent calendars, but this one has 31 windows to open, and inside are little resin figures. I won't open one per day. I ordered a small set of table top shelves, and I will put them all on display on the coffee table.

Yeah, spooky season definitely hasn't started.
But when it does, I might watch some horror movies. I've seen three lately -- Sinners, Weapons and 28 Years Later -- and thought they were worth watching. If anybody has suggestions that aren't super gory and don't rely on much paranormal stuff (a little bit, as in all three mentioned above, is OK) I would welcome them.
Jeff Wrangler:
OK, I guess you could say it's paranormal, but it's not particularly gory, but in Halloween season I used to like watching the 1979 version of Dracula, with Frank Langella in the title role. I haven't watched that in decades now because I've never gotten around to replacing my VHS tape with a DVD.

The 1992 version with Gary Oldman is interesting. (I think Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves are dreadfully miscast, but never mind.)
