--- Quote from: Front-Ranger on October 31, 2025, 07:26:28 pm ---I obtained a Professor McGonigle costume and was hoping to go trick-or-treating with my son and his family but it turns out they celebrated at the Children's Museum last weekend. And it's a chilly night so I'm staying in and working on a rebuke about the recission of the Public Lands Rule. That's scary enough for me. Plus, I'm going on a hike tomorrow starting early.

I thought they didn't celebrate Halloween. ???
Sason:
Hope it heals quickly, Chuck!
You must be very limber, I'm not able to see my back in a mirror at all.

Not even by standing with your back to a big mirror and holding up a little mirror?
Of course, Chuck's description implies the discovery was more accidental than that.
CellarDweller:
Yes, it was an accident.
I stepped out of the shower and dried off. I turned and hung my towel on the towel rack, my back facing the mirror. I can't remember why, but something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye, so I turned my neck and ended up looking towards the mirror. The way my back was angled, I was able to see the bump.

I don't quite know what to call it or how to describe it, but my bathroom has a three-way mirror. That is, there is one large mirror over the washbasin and vanity, and one angled mirror on each side (the angled mirrors are actually the covers of the doors of two small medicine cabinets). These mirrors were in every unit and original to the building. A lot of people do away with them when they renovate their bathrooms. I kept mine for just that reason: you can look at yourself in one of the angled mirrors and see your back in the other angled mirror.
I mostly use them to check that my tie is under my collar on the back of my neck. ;D
