Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!
is everyone ready for Christmas?
I am officially done as of today. Mom got her gift when I gave her the stand mixer. I got dad gift cards, that's all he asked for. My brothers and I don't exchange.
All the Christmas cards have been mailed, all the decorations have been hung, cookies distributed, and I even made sure I took time to drive around and look at holiday lights and listen to Christmas music.
The bank is closing early on Christmas Eve, I'll spend some time then making my homemade vodka sauce, and bringing some of it to my parents' place for Christmas lunch. Mom is making a traditional marinara, and her meatballs and sausage, and some salad.
I'll make some meat ravioli and place it in some of the vodka sauce, and the rest will go in mom's sauce. I'll also make some garlic breadsticks (I'm cheating, they're frozen) and bring them over.

Sounds wonderful, Chuck! Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone has a great holiday!
I'm going to mom and dad's place later for a late lunch, early dinner thing. I've made meat ravioli and vodka sauce, and have some garlic breadsticks.
When I get home I'll just spend the evening relaxing.

Merry Christmas Chuck and all! I'm going to my daughter's around lunchtime. Hope all these presents and food will fit in my car. I couldn't decide between mincemeat and pumpkin pie so I made a pie with mincemeat and pumpkin layers! Also a Waldorf salad, bruschetta with spreads and many relishes.

Merry Christmas, Chuck! I thought of you last night when my ex-sister-in-law brought stromboli to the family gathering. A nice idea, although I'm almost positive it was not as good as yours probably is.
My ex-niece's husband (they were hosting) made an interesting thing: barbecue sundaes. Little cups layered with cornbread, shredded pork with a hint of BBQ sauce, baked beans, cole slaw. I told him it was delicious and he said it would make a good food truck offering. You should have a food truck, I said. Too much work, he said grinning.
