They'll move on to the next sport....Baseball spring training starts soon.

What, like ketchup?

No, taquitos are a lot like stromboli, except that they're wrapped in a tortilla instead of dough.

Sounds pretty good, actually.

(I'm glad somebody saw the condiment connection.  ;D )

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

How is everyone doing this weekend?

Things are going well here.   I got my annual bonus, and Friday was my first paycheck with my new pay raise.  It all came at the right time, as my annual bills arrived as well.  My renter's insurance, auto insurance, vehicle registration renewal, life insurance, and the increase to my monthly rent and lease renewal all arrived this week, and everything was sent out.  4 of the six checks have already been paid, so I'm all on schedule with those.

This weekend was a quiet one for me.  I just got chores done.  Laundry done and put away, groceries picked up, apartment straightend out, and I took down all the St. Patrick's stuff, and put out all the Easter stuff.

Tomorrow I'll visit my parents for lunch, and then get some other shopping done, and be finished for the weekend.

What is everyone else up to?

serious crayons:
My younger son, Jack, visited this past week, driving from Chicago Wednesday night and leaving this morning. We had a great time going out, hanging around the apartment, watching TV (Jack watched a lot of basketball, and we both rewatched Minority Report).

Now the place feels empty and too quiet.

Front-Ranger:
Hanging out with an adult son is very special! Now that my son is married and has two children, it's a very rate event for me. It seems like most of his off-work time is spent ferrying the two children to child care (Because one is only 15 months old, she has to be in a different facility than her sister). And they won't let me do any of the ferrying.

Also, until recently I took the children to their weekly school every Tuesday. Up at 5:30 am, ordered breakfasts from MacDonalds and picked them up at 6:20, picked up four children and delivered them to school, fed, by 7 am. Now that I don't do that, I feel a little lost. But the garden is waking up...we've already had our first 90-degree-F day (a record) so I have plenty to keep me busy!

I hope to be allowed to take the oldest gchildren to Hail Mary Project. Anybody seen it yet? What did you think?
