I remember that.  Others got them really late.

I talked to the guy at the "Mail Boxs Inc." where I sent the cards from, he said I have sent them early enough.

We'll see.

Kelda, I'm driving down to Maryland to visit friends.  The daughter-in-law and grandkids of Jackie, my late friend from DCF who was known at the gatherings as "Painted Shoes".

Hi, Chuck.  Long time, no visit to this blog.

I didn't know which friends you were visiting in Maryland, but I'm glad that you went to see them and hope (at this late date) that it was a good visit.

ear people comment on how it's always the same decorations, but no one ever offers to buy new ones.
And now, I'm proud to present.....our Cowboy Christmas Tree.

Good work, Chuck!

Hope y'all have a good weekend.  :)

Say, are you guys getting really extreme weather ?

Looks like Europe is getting brass monkey weather, and Israel is having really fierce bushfires.

We in Oz now seem to be in perpetual flood. At least, the eastern half of the country is.
The farmers suffered years of drought, and thought they would finally have a really good year.
Now the rain and floods have destroyed a lot of the crops, and locusts have bred to huge swarms in some areas.

At least the outback is blooming, and teeming with birds and other wildlife, which was becoming a rare thing.

Sydney is having almost tropical weather.
My couple of acres of grass has been growing so fast that, by the time I've mowed it, it's time to start at the beginning again !
Might be easier to spray it all with weed poison and let it start over.   :-\

Hiya BetterMost friends.

I hope that everyone is doing well.

I'm so sorry to hear the news about Rodney.  He was a sweet man, and I'll always remember him for his humor, and his generous spirit.

Rest in peace, friend.  When you get to those gates, please give Jackie, Heath, and Rich a hug for me.

Chuck, I don't know why you would think anyone would object to your tree, of course you work with them, and know them better, but you inspire me, I might put one up this year, next sentence, please.  ;D

You know that old shed behind my house I sometimes refer to as Aent Brightie's house? It is about to collapse and I am going to tear it down before spring. I found a f'ed up Xmess tree a tenant had left behind and I am going to put it up inside of it and decorate the outside with lights and give the townsfolk a WTF moment.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Sunday already!  Damn!

I'm here for now, but have to run out for a bit to do some shopping!

Ok, so I had a Brokie dream last night.

I was at a Brokie Gathering, in a bar, trying to organize a group photo.

Everyone wanted to do one, but the group of Brokies kept splitting into two groups, not coming together to meet in one spot for the pic.

I kept trying to move everyone together, and everyone kept moving in different directions.  :D :D

I turned to someone and said "Organizing Brokies is like trying to herd cats."

At this point I woke up, laughed, and then remembered the LA gathering is this coming weekend.

I wonder if this is a premonition?  :o
