Hiya BetterMost friends.

I hope that everyone is having a good Hump Day!  It's mid-week already!  The weekend will be here shortly!  ;D

Today's travel destination:

The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest faunal reserves of the world, located in the south of Tanzania. It was named after Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter and early conservationist.

The reserve covers a total area of 54,600 kmĀ² (21,081 square miles), has additional buffer zones. Within the reserve no permanent human habitation or permanent structures are permitted. All (human) entry and exit is carefully controlled by the Wildlife Division of the Tanzanian Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism. Some of the typical animals of the savanna (for example elephants, hippopotami, African Wild Dog, cape buffalo and crocodiles) can be found in this park in larger numbers than in any other African game reserve or national park.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

I hope that everyone is doing well and having a good week.  The weekend is here soon, does anyone have any plans?  My Saturday is free, but Sunday is booked.  A friend's daughter's baton competition in the morning, lunch with friends in the afternoon, and Oscar party at night.

Today's travel destination:

Copacabana - Bolivia

This sunny little town, not the beach in Rio de Janeiro, is the original Copacabana.  Near the border of Peru and sitting on the shores of Lake Titicaca, liong considered the cradle of the Inca civilization, it is also the ideal departure point for the lake's islands, where a traditional culture hangs on.

Hmm. (Visualizes Chuck in white boots and red sequins twirling his baton. ...)

Oh, the humanity!

Hiya BetterMost friends.

We made it to Friday!   ;D

I hope that everyone has good plans for the weekend!

Today's travel destination:

Torres del Paine National Park - Patagonia, Chile.

A solitary region of overwhelming beauty, the 600,000 acres of Torres del Paine National Park hold 10,000-foot granite peaks, deep aquamarine lakes, rushing rivers, groaning glaciers, pampas, fjords, and wildlife galore.

You know if I meet Annie Proulx again I am going to tell her that people with bad teeth can still dance.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Well, here we are, back at Monday!

 >:(

I will be good for nothing today at work!  ugh!

I was on the run all day yesterday, capping the day with an Oscar party.  I got home just after 10:15, and couldn't fall asleep until 11:30.  Dinner was Chinese food, and I guess it was salty, and I woke up at 3am with a dried out throat and my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth.

I drank some water and then couldn't fall asleep until 4:00, and was up by 5.

I'm not amused.

Today's travel destination:

The Great Barrier Reef - The largest marine preserve in the world, the Great Barrier Reef is home to a stupefying profusion of sea creatures.  Although the reef is a favorite palce for sailing and excellent snorkeling, the only way to grasp its diversity is to dive into its depths.

I was awakened by a thunderstorm some time in the wee hours of the morning.  >:(  I'm not amused, either. I am in a very cranky mood this morning, and I don't know why. I had a pretty nice weekend. It isn't just that it's Monday, because I was in a completely opposite mood last Monday. Maybe when I get more caffeine in my system I will feel better.
