Weekend plans? Yes!
A while back, a friend brought over some trout (minus heads) that he had caught (and frozen), and put them in my freezer.
He's going to help me cook them (bake them in the oven) this weekend, assuming all goes well.
I have the requested supplies ready to go: Italian dressing and lemon juice for marinating, and tin foil.
Plus I thought of making it into trout almondine, so I have some sliced almonds and some some butter that I saw in a recipe for warming up the almonds. Not sure whether I will bother with warming them.
And fish-shaped (oval) dishes that I thought would make a nice touch.
Hope it turns out. My mother would raise such a fuss at fish being cooked (especially, all the way from raw fish) in
her kitchen.
