The other day my friend Vickie LaVern told me that her blind aent Norma Jean, who lives by herself in East Tennessee, went out to feed her pet Donkey and found something animal like laying on the ground. Unable to tell what it was she called a neighbor who came over and informed her her donkey had had a baby.
Now Norma Jean has had this Donkey about a year. When Vickie Lavern's mamma visited her a few months ago she took a picture of her kissing the Donkey on the snoot and asked her how she could be sure she had the right end. Norma Jean said: "I ain't that blind". Apparently the gestation period for donkeys is about a year so who ever gave her this animal knew it was knocked up when they pawned it off on her.
Vickie LaVern told her daughter, age 11, all this and she matter of factly summed it up: "People really shouldn't give pregnant donkeys to blind people."
