I got news on my dog today at the vet. It's not good news, but it's not the big catastrophe I had feared so much. Tina will have surgery and then all we can do is hope.
The good bit of news is that the surgery date is after my son's final school exams.

Oh, good. So the tumor is not the fast-growing kind. I'll be thinking of Tina and your whole family.

Thank you all for your well wishes. My poor Tina is not doing good :'(
She is short of breath. The doc did the X-rays today and said there is something on/in her lungs. It might be water (which points to heart insuffiency), or it might be that the tumor has spread to her lungs.
Both things are pretty bad. It's not looking good for her. The vet gave her several medications, which we hope will work. He also gave us his private phone number in case we need it over the weekend. That alone makes me worry even more.
I really hope the meds will work and she will have a turn for the better. At least for some more weeks, hopefully months.
I told my son and again, he's taking the news very hard. He has one more exam on Monday. Fingers crossed.
My poor, poor Tinchen. I'm afraid the day will come soon where we have to do what's best for her. :'( :'( :'(
