I have a weather report! Three days ago we were wondering if it would ever stop being chilly.
From the Seattle Times: At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport today, the temperature climbed to 90 degrees at 3:20 p.m., breaking the previous record of 85 set in 1956.

You better switch on the air condition, Clarissa! I heard about the early heat wave out there. I haven't had to turn my air condition on yet. Not YET! They said on the news the temps will be in the mid to upper 80's here later this week. So far I've been opening up the windows. I love the smell of the Spring air outside!

As far as I know, almost no one in Seattle has air conditioning. I moved here about 14 years ago from the south, and as I was looking for an apartment to rent, I kept being shown ones that didn't have air conditioning, and so wouldn't consider it. Finally someone told me that no one has air conditioning here, which is still pretty true.
We usually have maybe 10 days a summer that are pretty unpleasant without it, especially when the house stays hot at night, but otherwise, it's true, fans are usually enough.
