Saturday here, 33 degrees. I have to drive to Bangor to teach a class, so no rest for the weary today. Bangor is where Stephen King lives...here's his house, complete with bats on the gate.

Awesome house.  I'm sure his kids are all grown up aren't they?  Probably live somewhere else by now?

What a great day.    Despite the light rain we had all day, it was a super day.

I arrived at work early as today was "Bid" day for us part timers who are going full time.     As you may have read earlier I was depressed that it looked like I was going to have to go back to a 4:30 AM starting shift.   Well surprize surprize!    As I arrived there were 5 later shifts available!    YAAAA!   I get to start at 11:30 am!

Then I had to hold my breath until Nick showed up 30 minutes later to bid.    He arrived and was also able to grab an 11:30 shift!    And he chose the same days off too.    Good boy!         Life is good.    Now we had 2 and a half hours to kill before our shift started.  So Nick, myself and one other guy we know went to Friendlys for breakfast.     That was so nice.  To sit and eat a nice breakfast and have a few cups of coffee before work.  Of course having Nick sit across from me to stare at was nice too!  <deep sigh>.

Work was good too.  My checkpoint was pretty slow.   And the most annoying person I work with left early!     I hate that guy.  Everybody there hates him.   I think they are trying to get him fired he is such a bad employee.  He brings moral down.   So he left at the same time I arrived!    YAAA!   Normally I have to listen to his crap all day.

Then after work, a buddy of mine from Denver, Colorado flew in to my Airport.    So I stayed an hour later to meet him at his gate.     Boy do people get nervous when they see a TSA Officer waiting at the gate for a person!    And I snapped on a rubber glove real loudly when he stepped thru the gate into the terminal!   LOL.

Several passengers glared with nervous eyes when I did that!     My buddy just laughed and said: "What? they only sent one of you TSAs to get me?"   LOL

I escorted him thru to get his bags and to the rental car bus.  From there he and I plus two other friends all went to dinner at a nearby Ruby Tuesdays for Steaks.   

  What a great day!

Oh yes, I forgot to add that!    Gotta love that Jake was going to be on TV that night too.     I did stay up to watch part of it.   I recorded the rest.    I'm going to reserve my comments on the show until I've seen it all.
