The rain is pouring down at the moment. I had to close all my windows otherwise I would have found myself with a brand new indoors swimming pool.


Oh...it  stopped now...just like that...

I guess it was a quickie ;)

Thanks, everybody!! I didn't even notice until I came to this thread tonight...I've been much too busy with my new job and new resident in my house (my mother) to keep track of such things.

The number fourteen has significant resonance for me because I climbed two "fourteeners" last summer, Mt. Sherman and Castle Peak. My climb of Castle Peak was what inspired me to start the thread "Do Something Every Week that Scares You" in my blog "Musings from the Mountaintop." This summer, I have had three beautiful hikes and got to spend two nights on top of Brokenback Mountain. But the scariest thing I have done, brought my mother home to live with my family, makes climbing of a fourteener look like child's play!! I'm happy to report that everything is going beautifully and she seems to be settling in well and as happy as can be expected. Thank you all who have encouraged and supported me along the way!!
