In an interview I posted with the NYTIMES, Lee says this film is in the embryotic stages. He's in NO hurry as he has been terribly busy of late. I used to think it was the actors who did the promotion of their films as they are the salesman/woman for the "vehicle." However, the work he had to do to promote LUST CAUTION sounds most overtaxing. He has done dozens of phone interviews with the world's media, things like that, dealing with his latest film...No doubt, the Chinese media for a country of a billion must be quite large.
This after the Brokeback Mountain phenomena in which he was surprisingly inundated with calls from all over. He didn't think BBM would attract almost blockbuster attn and moreso.
