Reviving an old thread....I was asking myself, "when is this national disaster going to end (and how)?" when I spied my box of tarot cards on the hearth. I haven't thought to do a reading since sometime during the pandemic! So, first off, there's a card that's new to me in the "PAST" position. It is a higher arcana card, something like the royal cards in a typical deck. It is IX: The Hermit. Well, obviously that stands for the withdrawal from society that we all had to make during the pandemic.
In the "PRESENT" position is the IX of Pentacles (or Coins). This means I will experience mental, emotional, spiritual, physical and financial profit by following what holds heart and meaning to me. The wisdom and love I've been given unite in a creative way and I am in tune with Nature. Very good. But in the "FUTURE" position, things don't look so rosy. It's the IV of Swords, showing me trapped in a box made out of swords. This card is saying that we have to have patience and be practical. We are going to have to negotiate and find balance.
The card in the "OVERALL" position is the VIII of Cups. It says that I am drained and burned-out. "Look for other alternatives, find the courage now to retreat and heal yourself," it says. With The Hermit, the two cards together mean all joy will come if we will just be patient. Heartening news!
