Kerry:

USS Kitty Hawk recently visited Sydney. Some of the sailors (medics) visited the hospital where I work. They were very popular with the patients and staff . . . and they were cute too!

I recently came across these beautiful pics taken of the ship in Sydney Harbour. I wanted to share them with you all, but was unsure about where to post them, until I remembered this thread. So here are some photo's of beautiful Sydney, my home town, from a uniquely American perspective.

Enjoy!  :D

David In Indy:
Those pictures are wonderful Kerry! Thanks for sharing them with us buddy!  :D

Sydney looks like a beautiful city! I've heard many good things about it. I'd love to visit it someday.  :)

David In Indy:
Most of you already know I live in Indianapolis, Indiana; Speedway to be exact, which is a town situated on the west side of Indianapolis near the airport. It is named after the 2 1/2 mile oval track where several auto races are held each year.

Here are some pictures of Indiana, also known as the Hoosier State.....

Great pictures, Kerry, thank you!

A few years ago we had the John F. Kennedy (aircraft carrier) anchor in Casco Bay. It was huge! I was actually taking off in a plane and we flew over it. I was amazed at the size.

I tried to copy this picture to my photobucket but it didn't work. Oh well, here it is in the harbor. All the sailboats give you some idea of the size.

Actually, I just read a little bit more at that website. I didn't realize the Kennedy had just been decommissioned! That's sad news. The last picture is of it being towed to Norfolk, Virginia.
