Oh! I had not seen that particular trailer yet! Lots of Joker in there! I didn't see one element of 'Heath' or 'Ennis.' I may be in the minority, but I am excited for the movie. I have always been a Batman movie fan and I think Heath is going to be absolutely amazing.
One thing I'm not sure about re: the plot is whether Harvey Dent is a good guy or bad guy.

I have always hated Aaron Eckhart, but that's just me.
On the otherhand, I love Maggie Gyllenhaal, and I think she looks terrific!
How--eerie, though, she and Heath are together in this movie. Eerie and sad....

To me, "We're tonight's entertainment," sounds a bit Ennis-Heathian, but
"Good Evening, Ladies and Gentlemen," "Hello, Beautiful!" and
"Kill the Batman."
are NOT Heath or Ennis, but channeled from Elsewhere and pure Genius.
Again, cannot wait. Thanks for starting the thread!
;D

I will also say (in re the youtube interview, Heath Ledger talks about the Joker:
"The most fun I ever had--probably will ever have a character--")
Heath never looked so young, so vulnerable, and so himself, as in this short outtake (1:48!) and I'm grateful that it exists.
So sad, though.
:(
Brown Eyes:
I'm simultaneously excited about seeing TDK and apprehensive about it. I feel like dealing with this film in the wake of Heath's passing will be particularly difficult for me at least... even with the trailers that I've started to see more and more on TV, etc. I have this simultaneous reaction of excitement and nervous-apprehension.

Me too, I know I have said it before, and I know it is pure genius, but I cannot see or Hear Heath at all in the trailers I have seen.Where did that voice come from.?
He was never the same in any 2 movies.I look at other actors, even Michael Caine, he still looks and sounds himself. Heath on the other hand makes a Chameleon look like an amateur. What a terrible terrible waste.
