Disaster! HELP - any painting/finishing experts???

A freaking bottle of nail polish exploded in my kitchen. (Don't ask — just know that I'm officially a dumbass.)  :P

Anyway, so there are spatters of nail polish on our nicely-finished wood cabinets, and white painted walls.  (also on the fridge but IMO that's less of a concern.)

I'll post pics later so yall have a better idea. But the obvious question is: how do I get the polish off without damaging the cabinet finish and the paint on the walls?

Some of the wall paint is in relatively inconspicuous areas under the range hood so I tried different things there, but everything I tried started to take the paint right off along with the polish. It's a high-gloss paint.

And the cabinets stump me. I can scrape some of the polish spots off with my thumbnail, but a little color is left behind on some of them. (I'm afraid I might have to leave that to the pros... I don't know.)

Any ideas, yall?   ???

Oh, no!

This might help you:

or this:

I think I'd call in professionals.

optom3:
Any solvent with acetone which will remove the nail polish will also remove the paint. So do not use.

You could try one of the non acetone removers, which are used on acrylic/false nails.

Or try a  Mr clean magic eraser, they seem to remove a whole host of things.
