I was out tryin ta find... some Butt Butter. Ya know, they kind I like ta use for... gettin up ta no good at bedtime... but I couldn't find my truck, so I went ta look for one a them billboards instead. You see any Holstein heifers climbin up on billboards a late? I don't know if that is really happenin or if I'm seein things.

Dear wedding guests, travellers from near and far, of every species and fabric, creed, complexion and conviction - I have been asked to provide some entertainment at this wedding and will do my best. In order to set the mood properly I will now sing a song to you of sincere love and longing.
((Clicks hoofs sharply to make a point:))

((ahems and starts singing softly))
On a dark mountain evening

Then he met her in a bar, voice

Talked of mating calls, some kisses,- then
he thought he heard her say:

Plenty of room selling tractors here in Childress

Any make or gear
You can make it here
We will make it, dear!
Her mind is bright, she looks pretty
She barrel-races for fun
She's got a bullish daddy, loves her so,
he’d buy her the sun.
Soon they’ll dance in the courtyard
Sweet wedding sweat
Bride’ll dance to remember
Groom’ll dance to forget
He’ll tell the barkeeper,
“Please: Whiskey, not wine…… “
But knows:
No drink will make him forget the one for whom his heart truly pines.
And still a soft voice keeps calling from far away,
waking the groom in the middle of the night,
dwindling when his bride says:

Mirrors on the ceiling

And she says:

In their nuptial chambers
alone at last, though he smiles –
he feels stabbed as with steely knives,

One thing he’ll remember
is looking at the door,
wishing he’d find the passage back to his Mountain from before
”Relax,” coos the bride then -
”I love you, soon we’ll receive
A darling little one, I’m very sure
that you will never leave………”

EURO Brokies, I said during our recent meet that I'd try to have MIKA the MULE make something of Hotel California on the PT, in honour of several of you staying at the California Hotel. That quest has hereby been achieved! ;D
