Seems most everyone on Earth is younger than me these days!!! ;) ;) ;)
As my dear old Mum used to say, "Every age has its compensations," and I have to agree with her on that. :D

Just limitations. I can't drink like I used to, I can't stay up as late as I used to, I can't lisyen to music asloud as i used to.LOL
Reminds me of Toby Keiths song that says "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was"! LOL

That's a very thought-provoking post, Lee. :D
Here are a few of the "compensations" for me, at age 57:
* I'm now financially secure and no longer have any money worries.
* I will retire next year and never have to work again.
* As a consequence of my retirement, I will never again have to be in the company of people I don't like; e.g., at work.
* I'm very comfortable with myself now and have accepted myself for the person I am, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
* Thank goodness the rampant hormones of my youth have died down and I no longer feel compelled to constantly be on the make.
* I am satisfied with my few, trusted, beloved friends. I no longer have a need to be surround by mindless sycophants.
* I no longer have the compelling need to constantly be in search of "fun". I love my own company and love being at home - my sanctuary.
* I have accepted my mortality.
* I love my life, a claim I could not have made in my youth.
That's just a few of my "compensations". What are some of yours? :D
