I've been in touch with Luigi via PMs, and he's provided me with a wonderful, detailed list of things to see and do (and eat) while in Nice.

Do you remember "To Catch a Thief" with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly?  Luigi reminded me of the scene in which the characters drive on a road far above Nice and stop to admire the view.  Luigi told me how to take that same drive, and I plan to do it.

I'm starting to get really excited about this trip!

Impish, I guess I am just too far from Nice: I am in Brittany, and staying here through the summer, about 1000 kilometers from Nice at the other end of the country. Any chance you might fly over to Rennes? Would really, really love to meet you!

Unfortunately, I won't have the time.  I'm in Nice for 2 days, then on to the ship, which ends in Rome.

I'd have loved to meet you too, but we'll just have to wait for another occassion.....   :-\
