That's true, already my interest is falling.  Basically I'm looking forward to a possible Alberta get-together next year than thats pretty much it for me. Then I'm done with the BBM thing.  Even with this crummy copy that is coming out in Jan I'm wondering if I should really buy it?  I'm beginning to just not care anymore.

I too find this "Collector's Edition" to be less than satisfying - downright offensive & I don't intend to buy it. Give me something other than picture cards  -

But to say that your interest beyond next July is not likely is also depressin'. If you feel this way in November, what's to keep your interest going for another 8 months?

Geez!   When they said "Postcards" were being enclosed I thought they meant copies of all the postcards sent between Jack and Ennis.  Not just pics of the same old still shots we have all seen before.

Yes, who needs postcards when we could have the deleted scenes and alternate scenes (I was gonna write alternate endings, but that's a bit much to ask... )

It is a let down if that's all they'll put in the discs.  I've been waiting for something like this also for months.  Hopefully, they'll put more stuff in it.  Maybe someone here with more courage than me will buy it and tell us if it's really worth it.

Hrmpf.  I was afraid of this.  No other Ang Lee movies that I know of have deleted scenes . . . so I don't think we're ever gonna get any with BBM.  I probably shouldn't be disappointed, but I will definitely wait until you all have reviewed the release before I buy.  Just a few of the scenes that were shot but not included (gravesite, Ennis working on the Stoutamire place) would be neat - but perhaps I can be brought over to what apparently is Ang's side of the argument - those scenes just don't belong in our head because they don't tell the story he wanted to tell . . .
