got laid off - HIRED!!!

Got hired!!
Got my pick of departments. It's a state job at a health research university, so they offer free health insurance which goes into effect immediately, a pension plan, all federal holidays off, a 5 minute commute and I don't even have to pay for parking. Took a big hit in salary $8000 per year cut, but nothing's perfect. I start Monday.
