New Season of Reality Shows: Survivor, Amazing Race, Etc...
Kelda:
OOH! another one to chat about my new obsession with!!
oh so they stayed in the US only for that one? I heard it was unpopular cos of the family format but I will still be taking a look me thinks!
injest:
the problem I had with that is it seemed unfair to pit a family with little kids against a family of teenagers...I just couldn't watch those earnest kids trying so hard to keep up...bothered me because I know how kids internalize things and I worried that they would blame themselves for their family losing...
other than that it WAS good...(and I am very happy they stayed in the US for that one...)
Kelda:
Okay - so I am up to half way through the 4th episode of Amazing Race 10. So am up to the bit where they are in Vietnam and are doing the rowing detour and either have to go Over or Under. Either by collecting pearl baskets or colelcting supplies.
So far I really like David and Mary - so glad they will be in the all stars edition. They are just so cute and nice! Like when they gave Lyn and Karlyn(?) their leftover water as they didn't need it in the 'fill it up' task.
They are really enjoying the race and seeing & doing new things and meeting new people and not being overtly competitive. I like that in a team and always love the underdogs. (I'm a big woose)
I loved when they saw the dragon dancing and she was like - Look David - its like you see on TV! Good on them for getting up from their sofa in front of the TV and trying out for the amazing race and actually going for it against all those other over competitive couples.
I got a bit teary over the father/daughter when they left - nice to see they have healed their rift over her sexualoty and have moved forward.
One thing I have to say though is that i think its a little unfair some of the very physical tasks they've had to do so far. That climbing of the great wall of china before the pitstop I thought was unfair - all the strong tems managed to catch up and pass all those teams who had got there first but were struggling to complete the challenge. and then there was another climbing challenge on the pit stop - the girl with no leg was really struggling there too.

they do tend to focus on athletic activities in some of them...Have you seen the one yet with the little person yet? THAT broke my heart!
Kelda:
No - I haven't as yet - I will get there eventually!
But she (Marina?) is also in the all stars, yes?
what happened with her?
