--- Quote from: Shasta542 on December 12, 2007, 09:17:35 pm ---No, buddy -- I say it just like you do!  :P (That's the right way!)

I say Loeyville.

And I say Ill-uh-noy. Most people around here say Ill-uh-noise! Acccck!! I think that's wrong.

--- End quote ---

Yeah, I say Ill-uh-noy too Shasta. And don't go to Louisville and pronounce it Louey-ville. They'll kick you out of Kentucky for saying it like that! ;)

New Orleens, New Orlins or Nawlins?

Shasta542:
New Orlins

Shasta542:
Well, I've always heard Louey-ville Slugger. haha

Yup! That's how I say it too Shasta. I have some relatives in New Orleans, and they all pronounce it Nawilns. And they say Looz-ee-ana instead of Loo-ees-ee-ana.

How would you pronounce this northern Indiana county? Spell out phonetically how you would say it...

Susie  :)

How about .... Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!?  :o

--- End quote ---

Then I said it correctly, didn't I Susie? *David pats himself on the back*

And that second one is a city in Wales, isn't it? And I have nooooooooo idea how to say it!
