They sure did Dottie!  :D

It's total chaos downtown tonight. I'll betcha there'll be a lot of people calling in sick tomorrow too because:

1. They got drunk and now they have a hangover

2. They stayed up all night and they're too tired.

3. They caught the episutic from standing outside in sub zero temperatures all night long.

I wish I wasn't sick, because it sounds like a lot of fun!

lol

I just took a couple of pain pills... I had to because I wrenched my back... and now here I am asking stupid questions.

But why do people lick their finger when they turn a page of a book, or flip through paperwork?

Why? I never did understand this. I mean, is it an unconscious habit? Are they getting high from licking all that ink that's collecting on their finger? Does it somehow assist them in their page turning? I mean, why?

Why do they do it?   ???

I'll shut up now! lol

Kerry, what chapter of Shades of Grey are you on now? Have you finished it yet?

they think the moisture is going to help seperate the pages...

it is a gross habit...I HATE it. Who wants to handle something someone has slobbered all over!

I just finished reading Shades of Grey, David. I think I might have to take a break for a moment or two, before commenting further. I'm just a sad, weepy mess at the moment. Can't think straight just now. I'll be okay after I take a break and dry my tears. Just one quote, before I go:

“Can I touch you?” Ennis asked gently. “Because I think I might die if I don’t.”

I spent all day in bed today reading it again. I forgot how specfreakintacular it is! This is some of the best writing in fandom. I feel as though I could start it over again right now and still not be bored.

God, you are so right, along with If I Asked, this must be one of the best stories out there. I spent most of my weekend reading Best Friends Forever (great story!), but I think I could spend another weekend rereading SOG, no problem!

You finished it Kerry, how are you feeling now?

I agree with you wholeheartedly there, Ruby. Shades of Grey is certainly a wonderful story. And a marvelous tribute to Jack and Ennis, too.  :D
