I was on my way to work as the first plane hit. As I was listening to the report, I can remember the reporter said "we don't have any confirmation that this is any sort of attack" and I thought "Yeah, right.....it's not an attack."
We had the radio on at work, and heard the stories when the other plane hit, and then the Pentagon, and the crash of flight 93.
We got word that bank was closing due to the emergency, and to get home. On my way home, I called my friend Corrine. She was beside herself. Her husband walked past the Towers every day because he went into the city with is father, who worked in Tower Two.
After waiting most of the day, we got a call from her husband. There was a delay, and because of that, her father-in-law never got into the building. He was outside when the first plane hit. Because of all the communications going on, neither could get in touch with each other or anyone else.
They managed to find each other, and then get themselves home by late night.
