Along these lines, here's a little game you can play at your next dinner party or restaurant get-together.
Ask everyone to place their hands in their (not their partners'!) laps under the table and then clasp/intertwine their fingers together in the way that seems most comfortable/natural.
Now ask everyone to look at their intertwined fingers. Of the thumbs, which one is on top of the other? If your right thumb is on top of your left thumb, you are left-brain dominant (because the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body). If your left thumb is on top of your right thumb, you are right-brain dominant. Or put an easier way, which ever thumb is on the bottom, right or left, is the side of your brain that's most dominant.
Then you can ask them if these descriptions, from Blogthings, are appropriate:
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.
The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.
Or, another way to play the game is ask them to clasp their fingers under the table, and before looking at them, based on the descriptions above, ask them which side of their brains they think is the dominant side.
