Funny (maybe) little story that goes along with the youtube video that Meryl posted on page 1.
Naturally, with the introduction she gave it I had to see what the video was and hear the song, so I had a look. Turns out I've watched it about 20 times now because I love the song and because the video made me so lonesome for my son, who moved out of our house in April, that I cried!
I forwarded it all to my son who informed me that the reason it looked so familiar to me was that the video is from the massive role playing game World of Warcraft, a game that my son spent many hours playing. (I'd say "wasted" but since BBM, who am I to judge?) Anyway, it is also where he met his fiance and where I first "met" her.
They were part of a group who were going off to kill a dragon and I happened to be up in his room, so he turned on the speakers so that I could hear all the strategizing that was going on and I suddenly heard a female voice yell "Die, bitch!" (It was a female dragon.) He finally admitted to me that she was the person he had been going to visit down in Boston but he wouldn't tell me her name for a long time (don't ask) so I called her diebitch until she finally showed up at my door one day and we were properly introduced.
So, thanks John and Meryl. Maybe they'll play it at the wedding.
