Apparently whoever wrote the pronunciation guide on that entry has a strong Georgia accent. According to a symbols guide, pîr is pronounced "pier," so it's, m-pier-kl.
Judging from my argument above, I'd say my teenage crush was Perry Mason.
And can you blame me?! :laugh:

I got my first crush when I was five years old: Tommy Rettig, the first kid star of the Lassie series. He was dethroned by Elvis a year later, who was followed up by the minister's son down the street (his name was Jake!), the kid across the aisle in my 3rd grade class, most of my older sister's boyfriends....
But my really monster tweener crush was Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. What a cutie! And I always have been a sucker for a man in uniform....
