I couldn't call this a teenage crush precisely, as I first fell for this gentleman at the tender age of eleven! I went to see the film Animal House then, in 1978 (with my mother and sister, and my mother would probably walk out of a movie like this now), and from the moment I saw Bruce McGill as D-Day, my heart fell a stirring that couldn't find an exact focus in my pre-pubescent being, but was definitely tinged with erotic and romantic longing.
