So you are hoping the Liberals carry the election? You figure they have a good shot?

The Conservative party (only real opposition) shot themselves in the proverbial foot at the beginnig of the campain by promissing to financally support private schools (only the catholic and public schools are currently paid for by the public purse - been that way since forever.)

Nothing the conservatives had said (or anyone else for that matter) has been discussed these past 5 weeks, and even conservative candidates don't agree with that policy. Last week, the conservative party leader flip flopped by saying. if elected, he would have an open vote (not party enforced) on the issue, but this past week's focused once more on THAT policy and the fact that he's flip flopped.

Liberals were suppose to win with a minority government (cause of the broken promises from the last election), but right now it looks like they might just have themselves a majority (hope spring eternal!)

so have you been paying any attention to our election? Do you have a preference?

What you talking about - your elections are a year away (Or are you refering to some other local elections?)

If you are asking do I prefer the black candidate or the female one ... think I prefer the black guy (can't remember his name - Obama?)

Our eletion campains last only 5 or 6 weeks.

The federal government is also gearing up for elections. Might happen in mid November.
