Bonjour Better Most (and you too Jess  :) )

Mid week - and life goes on.

I'm at work and got maybe 20 minutes to spare ...

Gonna be relatively warm today - lately the temperatures have had trouble reaching the teens (mid 50's F), but today it's expected to reach 20C (68F) Yee haw!

Got a music lesson to present today during which I'll be having the kids listen to the Bumble Boogie. Well this will give me the opportunity to showcase my music teacher (and cousin - my dad's cousin, really) who last year offered me a CD of recordings of her playing the piano. Hope the kids are gonna be able to appreciate the 'personalised' aspect of today's lesson.

You serious?

You don't recognise the Bumble Boogie?

I'll have to send you a mp3 of either the 1956 hit single or my cousin's version.

The song was featured in that movie (forget the name right now) about this Australian autistic man who was a virtuoso of the piano. Great stuff (and that piece is quite difficult to play, I believe)

Anyways, the bell's about to ring - gotta go

Good mornin Lee

How's it hangiing today?  ;D

Just finished a health class with the grade 6 - talking first aid, what to do when there's a 'situation' and dropped the bombshell about having to send for help when my sister was hit by a car while she & I were riding our bikes out in the middle of nowhere. I was alone with her at the time, and had the driver of the car go call for an ambulance. (yea - he had to leave the scene of the crime! - no choice).

My sister died two days later. She was 13. This was some 30 years ago.

Classroom was real quiet there for a while!
