The Oscars 2007
« on: February 25, 2007, 10:15:38 pm »
I'm actually watching. The first time ever. In the early hours overhere.
First pleasant surprise: the oscar for best animated short film The Danish Poet, narrated by Liv Ullmann. I saw it at a film festival in Germany and just loved it!

 :)

I am watching now and as usual...

it is as dull as dishwater.

I didn't think Ellen was funny, the Will Ferrelll thing flopped, and what was that weird choir thing that was going on....?

Lol. Finding that boring? You should have seen the Berlinale show on German television...  ::)

I've decided to sit through it now. Just opened a bottle of wine.  :)

Okay. Let's admit it. I just want to see Gael Garcia Bernal present an award...
And I hope it will be the foreign language category.  :)

i have it on in the background..On a side note does anyone remember Hilary Swank won an academy award for her portrayal of a woman living as a man, Brandon Teena in love with another woman in Boys Don't Cry.  So they don't always turn their cheek to gays... with that said, I absolutely loved Little Miss Sunshine and the only reason I'm watching is to see if they win for best cast ensemble..they were excellent together..  i recommend this film.   As far as i know they got the best supporting actor win what else I'm not sure since I'm not paying close attention.

Cameron Diaz does look pretty...

I agree!  She gorgeous tonight
