A song that makes me think of Brokeback Mountain
isabelle:
Barb, I hadn't thought of "Here comes the rain again", but how fitting!
"Walking on broken glass too".

I love how both reference the wind. So fitting for Jack.
Here's another one that makes me think of him in a way:
Give Me Novacaine ~ Green Day (Billie Joe Armstrong)
Take away the sensation inside
This bittersweet migraine in my head
It's like a throbbing toothache of the mind
I can't take this feeling anymore
Drain the pressure from the swelling
This sensation's overwhelming
Give me your kiss goodnight
and everything will be all right
Tell me that I won't feel a thing
Give me Novacaine
Out of body and out of of mind
Kiss the demons out of my dreams
I get the funny feeling, then it's all right
Jimmy says it's better than here
I’ll tell you what
Drain the pressure from the swelling
This sensation's overwhelming
Give me your kiss goodnight
and everything will be all right
Tell me that I won't feel a thing
Give me Novacaine

I know this doesn't define the whole film but I was inspired by the 90s cds I am making and I recently found out that this song was number 1 in Britain when I was born. Plus I also found out that it was used on a chocolate advert, so it was fate that I was to be a chocoholic...aswell as a brokaholic! ;D
What scene do you think this song defines? :P
Show Me Heaven- Maria McKee
There you go
Flashing fever from your eyes
Hey babe
Come over here and shut them tight
I'm not denying
We're flying above it all
Hold my hand
Don't let me fall
You've such amazing grace
I've never felt this way
Oh, show me heaven, cover me
Leave me breathless
Oh, show me heaven please
Here I go
I'm shaking just like the breeze
Hey babe
I need your head to steady me
I'm not denying
I'm frightened a much as you
Though I'm barely touching you
I've shivers down my spine, and it feels divine
Oh, show me heaven, cover me
Leave me breathless
Oh, show me heaven please
Do you know what it's like to dream a dream
Baby hold me tight and let this be
Oh, show me heaven, cover me
Leave me breathless
Oh, show me heaven please
If any of you want to know what was number 1 in the UK went you were born I would be happy to look it up, just ask. ;D

 Thanks for the offer but I have to laugh as that makes me feel old! The music was terrible when I was born, early 70s. So I am old enough to be your mother, just! I do know the song you have posted & like the lyrics but don't remember it from the time. I was probably too into being rebellious & miserable at that time!
Great suggestions earlier - especially the Eurythmics & can't live, if living is without you... heard them on the radio & totatlly thought of you know who.

Go on try me! And btw my mum is much older than you: she was a teenager in the 70s.
