One day out in Signal, Wyoming,
that last ling'ring kiss was still foaming,
Ennis noticed his lost shirt,
Jack drove away, how Ennis hurt.
Thank you Heath and Jake for showing us Ennis and Jack,  teaching us how much they loved one another.

Ennis noticed his lost shirt,
Jack drove away, how Ennis hurt.
Now their life would continue on roaming.
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection

"Time to go cowboy", he said with dismay
"I been really dreading this awful day"
"Want to stay here with you"....

And I might not be "queer", but I sure am "gay".

But he could see Ennis from the corner of his eye

To the flutterings in his heart he could not lie

"If he'd strip for me, I'd be delighted!"
