((Laurel carefully sips her caramel cappuccino. arching her eyebrows disapprovingly at the lowered curtain. She places the cup down on its saucer.))

**Phantom, are you there?**

((A shadow moves from the curtains near her shoulder and dramatic organ music begins to play..... Laurel rolls her eyes.))

**Oh please, spare me the dramatics. I'm better at it then you'll ever be.** ((The organ music stops suddenly))

THE PHANTOM OF THE FILM:

((a grimacing smile under his mask.)) **Of course, Madame. How may I be of service?**

LAUREL SPARTA:

** I am concerned about the state of affairs in the performance. I have heard of artistic silence before, but this deafening, numbing experience is putting the audience to sleep. Something is not right. It's as though our poor Ennis is in a standing coma.**

THE PHANTOM:

**Perhaps it was the drugs....?**

LAUREL SPARTA:

**No, no.... not that type of drug... I need an expert's opinion. Bring me Statler and Waldorf!**

((Laurel's command seems to echo in the higher reaches of the theater, giving her a larger-than-life feeling. The Phantom bows and runs off to see if he can find the Cast Psychologists.))
