If Bobby was 20 when he died and he died in 1983, that would make him roughly the age of many of us. I was born in 1962, so I would have been 20 or 21 at the time. Probably 20, since it looks like he died during the summer and my birthday is in September.

Man, that was a POWERFUL movie!! It was very good. I'm so glad Lifetime aired it. I hope lots of people will take the time to watch it. Maybe it will change a few minds.

My parents put me through hell when I first told them I was gay. And ironically it was in 1982, about the same time Bobby did it. I remember it was 1982, because I told them about a month before my grandma passed. She died in November of 1982.

Yep, you are right about that David. That was one reason why I was trying to figure out when it was cause lots of what they were showing looked very familiar as well as the music.
