I wouldn't wish to live in California...overpopulated, too densely populated, and just too many problems. I do have some close family who presently call California home, and some of my dearest friends are also there...so, I hope no offense to anyone when I say that California is a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to move there.
And I'm in Texas, thank you, not the East Coast.

In all the years I've lived here I think, except for children, I've only met half a dozen people who claim to be native Californians. Traffic is hell, and it's expensive to live almost anywhere in the state but, outside of Los Angeles, it really is a very pleasant place to live.
