Kelly Jordan (Robert Lowery) and Andy Melton (Robert Kent) are former AAF fliers operating a cargo service over the South American mountain ranges in order to get enough money to return to TEXAS and buy a commercial line. Andy is killed when his overloaded plane crashes and explodes. Kelly meets Laurey Roberts (Ann Savage), who gets him to take her to the mining-camp operation as a cook, as she is running away from her ex-husband, Tom Hammond (Douglas Fowley), who has just been released from prison. Hammond catches up with Laurey, but he is killed in a gun fight, and Kelly and Laurie leave looking for a peaceful life in TEXAS.

Plot: Two escaped convicts (Jeremy Northam, Steve Zahn) arrive in the town of Happy, Texas, where they are mistaken for a gay couple who is to host the town's Little Miss Fresh Squeezed beauty pageant. Enjoying the celebrity and using their skill as con-men, the two adopt their persona to take on the task. Of course, as the two are heterosexual, their interest in the involved ladies intensifies. Ally Walker is a banker, who is distrustful of men and has given up on love. Illeana Douglas plays the dowdy, badly dressed teacher. William H. Macy plays a distrustful sheriff, Ron Perlman is another sheriff, and Paul Dooley is a judge.

From IMDb:  Reginald Hudlin, director of films such as "House Party" (1990), "Boomerang" (1992), and "The Ladies Man (2000), adds another comedy vehicle to his resume in "Serving Sara." However, this is a film that is reliant on the talents of Matthew Perry, and for the most part, it is he who saves this film, playing yet another version of Chandler Bing from "Friends." Perry plays Joe Tyler, a process server down on his serving luck, thanks to being undermined by his main competition, Tony (Vincent Pastore). Tyler is given one last important job; he must serve divorce papers to Sara Moore (Elizabeth Hurley) from Texas millionaire Gordon Moore (Bruce Campbell). Serving Sara Moore seems like a harder task than possible, and when Joe does, she offers him a better deal where the stakes are higher and Joe can finally get out of the business once and for all.

This is a fun movie, especially if your expectations were reasonably low to begin with. If you are a fan of "Friends," then it's hard not to like Matthew Perry in this movie.
