I grew up around my father and stepmother speaking it on weekends.  (They spoke it all the time, I was just there some weekends.)  So mostly what I did in that quiz is read all the choices out loud and ask myself if I'd heard that before?  I think got some right without knowing what the sentences meant, just by recognizing the verb endings that probably fit.

But I did also finally take two years of it in college.  I had never read it or learned it officially til then.  Up to that point there was a lot I'd never paid attention to.  German is the language I give myself all permission to make tons of mistakes in.
