Today was my last day on the ridiculously abbreviated contract with a former customer of mine - what a cl*ster f*ck that was! In my desperation to find a new contract as soon as possible, I footed the bill to take an interview in Minneapolis on the 5th of June and was offered the job the next day. The past three weeks or so have been the extensive and excruciating paperwork for the background checks.
Which I still haven't got confirmation that they are done, but the account manager said to come ahead anyway. Start date is July 1, but I won't know if I'm actually starting on July 1 till maybe... Monday, but I'm packing up and if the thunderstorm forecast isn't too severe I'll be heading out mid-morning tomorrow for my next 6-month gig. If not... then I stay in the Can Club!
