Yes I did mean hours per day, and have changed the poll to state that now.
Yes, I agree, I do feel guilty at times when I end up sitting here for the most part of the day and sometimes into the night.
The good thing is, if I cant sleep, I can always find something to do on the net.
The first thing I do when I wake up, is turn my computer on, and while it is going thru the motions of getting itself organised, I make myself a cup of tea, then sit down with a ciggie, my cuppa and my laptop.
Emails first......I check them every day, so I only have new ones. Most are just funny jokes that people send me.
Then I go to the news page and read the latest news headlines.
I keep Bettermost for last, because I know once I come in here, I could be here for hours. Because I am asleep when a lot of the activity is going on here, there are usually lots of replies to my posts, and lots of posts since last visit. So that keeps me busy just reading. Some I reply to straight away, and some I keep for later to reply to.
In the middle of all that, I play poker tournaments on AOL....not real money ones, just fake money, but I enjoy them. I sometimes flick from poker to Bettermost, if the poker is moving a bit slow and do the two at once.
I go back to my emails throughout the day to see if there are any new ones, also check the news regularly, also check my bank account, pay bills etc.
My AOL instant message with my buddy list comes up automatically when I log in, so I regularly get a friend on there, buzz me and we have a chat, or if I see someone online on my list, I buzz them.
I go from Bettermost, to poker, to emails continually throught the day. If I am sitting down at home, I always have my lap top on my lap. If I'm not sitting down I am doing chores around the house.
I am registered with Facebook but dont go into it unless I get an alert telling me that someone has written to me.
So I guess my vote up top there will be over 8 hours a day, but maybe I am kidding myself, because I know that some days, I spend much more.
