I had a bit of a surprise yesterday.

My father asked me if I'd ever watched Downton Abbey.

I said, No.

He said, "It was pretty good."

I think not too much later.  It's supposed to be 1927.  The Dowager Countess must be 141 years old by now!

The Dowager Countess is ageless. ...

I loved the film although, after about 3 or 4 years, I had forgotten a lot and had to come home and check on Wikipedia.
If a movie has Maggie Smith or Judi Dench in it , I almost have to see it. "Tea with the Dames" was marvellous for me.

I'm gong to a friend's 50th birthday party tonight, and she's a Downton Abbey fan, so I got her a book called "The Downton Abbey Film Companion"

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

I feel the same way, Brian, although "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", where Dench was paired with Bill Nighy, was a stretch for me. He's nearly 20 years younger than she!
