In Montreal, I'm happy to be,
Cause I just ate a delicious Poutine with Duck Confit!
(It was from a street vendor. Tomorrow I might try the one with foie gras.)
EDIT: Well, tonight i did have the foie gras poutine. It's actually a signature dish of a local celebrity chef who owns a restaurant called
Au Pied de Cochon. Considering how expensive foie gras is I thought it was relatively inexpensive at $8 . It was a fairly small portion of fries and cheese curds, topped with a big gelatinous chunk of foie gras, all swimming in gravy. Frankly, it was just too damn rich. I still feel like I'm on the verge of a heart attack. I much preferred the one I had yesterday. (Note: they claim that it's ethical foie gras, if such a thing exists.)
