I had the same problem!  Shade, shake, shame, shape, shave could all be the answer. Need to rule out/in D,K,M,P and V.
So I tried to narrow it down by choosing "vamps" and lucked out. (Interestingly, the bot also started with crane and sloth, but chose "vodka", and still got it right.)
