I see all native English speakers here got this in three and even our English-as-a-second-language friend got it in four. I don't even dare look at the bot's responses -- I made guesses I knew were wrong, including actually guessing the same word twice!  :laugh:  In my defense, I looked up the Merriam-Webster list of 5-letter words ending in ATE (which I sometimes use when I'm in a jam), and they didn't have it, either.


Luckily, Connections helped soothe my ego.

Well, according to the FiveForks list of used Wordle words, SKATE, SLATE, and STATE have already been used. Wordle doesn't repeat words, so consulting this list saves you needless guesses. And, there are no spoilers for today!
